Chikankari comes from the cultural center of India , Lucknow, the city of Nawabs and Kebabs.. Having history of more than 200 years, the origin of this beautiful embroidery work is influenced by intricate carving patterns of Mughal architecture.
The white thread embroidered on cool shades in various patterns give rich and exquisite look to the fabric. Chikankari is often paired with mukaish,gota ,ari and zari work.
From elegant whites and pretty pastels to luscious red , it works on every colour. From light muslin to cuddly Georgette ,it works on all kinds of fabric. And most importantly it has got a variant that suits every occasion ..
